ATLAS.ti 5 runs on Intel-based PCs under the Windows operating system. See below for information on Macs and SUN workstations.

For successful installation and operation of ATLAS.ti the following system requirements must be met:

* Note: Minimium requirements are really just that: minimum conditions to run the program. In order to obtain reasonable performance--i.e., to work smoothly and with more than only a few documents open at a time, for working with multimedia sources or embedded content--you should really look at the recommended requirements for an orientation re. a suitable system configuration.

Sun Workstation
ATLAS.ti is also known to work fine on Sun Workstations with SunPCi Coprocessor card. Unlike an emulation, this configuration is real hardware, a PC inside a SUN workstation. Because of this, speed and ressources are no issue at all.
