License Decision Criteria
License Purchasing, License Lease, or Campus License: there are good arguments for all three of these differrent models. Deciding which one is more suitable to your organization is a simple process, but the key to this decision lies with the specific characteristics, requirements, and preferences of your organization .
Neither of the three licensing models is inherently better than the others. Only, they all are tailored to suit different customer needs. Your decision for either one of them can be helped along by considering a simple set of criteria:

Institutional Cost Savings
Example: Cost Savings in Typical Institutional Orders
A university ordering 40 educational single user licenses will pay $23,400 USD
If buying a multi-user license for 40 users instead, the university will only have to pay $13,000 USD --a savings of $10400 USD, i.e. more than 44,5%!
Finally, LEASING a multi-user license for 40 users, the price is only $3900 USD per year. Over three years (= regular upgrade cycle), the total price is only as low as $11,700 USD--a savings $11,700 USD! This a a savings of more than 50% over the single-user license, and still a savings of $1300 or 10% over the purchased license--plus an additional interest savings over 3 years!
