Upgrading to ATLAS.ti 6

Users of ATLAS.ti 4.x and 5.x can upgrade to ATLAS.ti 6 at a substantially reduced rate (nearly 50% discount!). This offer is limited and may end at any time.

Please note that due to technical reasons, versions older than 4.1 cannot be upgraded. Student licenses cannot be upgraded from ANY version. Upgrades cannot, of course, be purchased at all without an already existing license. If you do not have any prior version of ATLAS.ti, you must order a full version.

License and registration, please!

To order and install an upgrade, your existing license must be registered. with us. Only registered licenses can be upgraded. If you purchased your original license after January 2004, your license is automatically registered. If you have an older license, or if you're not sure, register via the Registration page.

How to order your upgrade

The process couldn't be simpler:

  • Select the appropriate license from the order page
  • Enter your existing 16-digit or 32-digit serial number
  • follow instructions

Please note: your copy of ATLAS.ti can only be upgraded to a newer version of the same category. A single license can only be upgraded to a single license, and multi-user (site) licenses only to multi-user licenses of the same volume (five users, ten users, etc.)

Student Licenses

Student licenses cannot be upgraded. If you still hold official student status, you may be eligible for a new student license. To find out about our substantially reduced student rate along with our requirements, please see our Student Licensedetails.

System Requirements (important!)

Before ordering an upgrade, please make sure your computer is actually ready for the latest version of ATLAS.ti.

The system requirements for the most recent version of ATLAS.ti are available here.

What Users Say

If the analytic strategy calls for it, you can build up conceptual frameworks and reconnect data at the same time as you are breaking it down through coding.
