ATLAS.ti 5.x and Vista / Windows 7

If you still use ATLAS.ti 5 and are trying to install specifically under Vista or Windows 7 (e.g. because you switched to a new computer), note you CANNOT use your old ATLAS.ti 5.x setup file--unless you specifically have the installation file for version 5.6 (or higher). 

Remember that ATLAS.ti 5 predates both Vista and Windows 7 and was not originally designed to work under these operating systems.

To install ATLAS.ti 5.x under Vista or Windows 7, you must obtain a newer 5.x setup file. Use the following link to order a 5.6 (or higher) setup file for installing under Vista and Windows 7.  Install using your existing license key.

This not only lets you download your "legacy" version of ATLAS.ti but in fact gives you access to this version for another two years. So you're covered should something happen to your system or you decide to change computers.

This setup will work under Vista and Windows 7 and let you install and work with your existing v5.x edition on these systems. However, please note that for optimum performance we recommend UPGRADING to the current ATLAS.ti 6 altogether.
